A public-interest ecosystem platform for the digital age.

DPA is a nonprofit organization advancing equitable access, readiness, and inclusive governance of technology — locally grounded in the communities where our partners operate, and globally connected through research, convenings, and cross-border relationships.

Mission

Why we exist

To close the gap between technological change and public readiness — building an ecosystem where individuals, communities, and organizations connect, learn, and act together so that technology serves human needs and the public interest, locally and globally.

Community is not a program at DPA. It is the orientation through which all of our work is designed and delivered.

Vision

Technology as a tool of equity and human progress

A future where technology is governed inclusively, applied responsibly, and shaped by the full breadth of human experience — across borders, sectors, and generations.

Values

What guides our work

  • Community-centered

Co-production with communities is the orientation through which our work is designed and delivered.

  • Public interest

Public-interest accountability sits at the center of governance, not at the margin.

  • Equity of access

Pathways and opportunity for those historically excluded from the digital economy.

  • Locally grounded

Anchored in the contexts and partners where the gap is most acute.

  • Globally connected

Moving knowledge and relationships across borders so local experience shapes global decisions.

  • Evidence in service of action

Research only matters when it reaches those who need it most.
